We’re Kristian and Bethan, the founders of ¡HELADO!
As a husband and wife team with both British and Mexican roots, we’re introducing the overlooked tradition of Mexican ice-cream to London’s food scene.
We craft all natural, small batch, luxury ice-cream (or helado) that celebrates the wide range of vibrant flavours found across the different regions of México.
Our journey started with a simple love for good food – a love that runs deep in Mexican culture.
our story
Whenever we spend time in México, we love to try the country’s diverse and delicious street food, which extends far beyond tacos and churros (though we do enjoy both!).
Throughout our travels we’ve been captivated by the experience of tasting fresh, hand churned ice-cream and frozen treats. These are often made by families using local ingredients, who sell them at markets, on street corners and from their homes.
Excited by their unique flavours, we created ¡HELADO! to capture this joyful experience and share an underrepresented part of Mexican cuisine with you.

We only make flavours that are authentically Mexican. Our recipes are built around the produce of México, classic Mexican flavour combinations and selectively sourced Mexican ingredients. Our ice-creams are all-natural, never using any artificial preservatives or synthetic flavourings.

Cajeta and salted pecan
Reduced over 20 hours, our homemade goats milk caramel makes this decadent ice-cream.
Mexican cinnamon
With this recipe we have given centre stage to the sweet and floral notes of Mexican cinnamon, canela.
Café de Olla
"Coffee from the pot", sourced from Oaxaca, lightly spiced with orange, Mexican cinnamon and sweetened with piloncillo.
Guava and lime
We’ve refreshed our delicately sweet guava sorbet with zingy lime to create this winning combination.
berry HIBISCUS
A fruity fusion of floral hibiscus and juicy red berries. Sweet and tangy and bursting with flavour.
Soursop and passion fruit
A vibrant tropical sorbet pairing fragrant, creamy soursop with bright, punchy passion fruit.

Everything we create is inspired by the recipes and flavours found across México.
To make our flavours authentic we like to source specialty ingredients from Mexico, like our vanilla, Ceylon cinnamon, coffee, cacao, masa, chiles, and piloncillo to name a few.
We also love to recreate classic recipes from scratch, like our cajeta and café de olla.
